As we announced a few days ago, we decided to publish some real weddings. We want to live up to our name, which is Wedding Meets Fashion, and thus the size of the wedding will not matter. We will rather show weddings that are really beautiful. Whether by dress, detail, or idea.
And as we promised, the emphasis will also be on the story. So, here is one gorgeous bride Sheridan Harris and her impromptu winter wedding.
Originally, Travis and I were going to have this huge wedding in the spring, but our plans were hindered by COVID. We then decided we would wait until everything blew over, but if this year has taught us anything, it is that life is unpredictable, and we should cherish the ones we love while we can.
We decided to have an impromptu private wedding in our friend’s backyard with a small outdoor reception afterward. All of this came together, thanks to my mom. She worked quickly and tirelessly for the three weeks to organize everything.
We had a small guest list and celebrated our love with our closest friends and family. I find it funny because I had envisioned what my perfect day would look like, and everything was wholly upturned and opposite from what I originally had in mind.
However, it wound up to be more beautiful and magical than I ever could have imagined. I think you can attempt to wait for the best timing and prepare everything meticulously. Yet, at the end of the day, life is always chaotic, and if you’re with the one you love, everything will turn out perfectly.

The only vendor I used was Mark’s City Grill who catered the food.
For the location, I would like to thank Judge Mcbride III and Mrs. Mcbride for hosting our event.

Beautiful! My husband and I eloped and told our families and friends a week before. Our immediate families were there. A few weeks later, my in-laws threw us a small reception. Sometimes small is better, but everyone is different. Lovely pictures!
I love simple, yet elegant, weddings! This one reminds me of the vintage styles. I also prefer smaller weddings. They are naturally intimate with the chance for stronger memories to be made.
The pic(s) in the woods look really cool. Would you get married in the winter if you lived up north?
Whoever said impromptu weddings weren’t possible? Simple and lovely. Wish the couple a happy married life.
So chic and beautifully done!
From my experience some of the most wonderful things I have experienced were not due to a well thought out plan. Sheridan was stunning and that day was magical.
This is my girlfriends son and now daughter-in-law. Hard to believe these are real people and not models with how elegant it all turned out.
we agree.
Stunning! The pictures are amazing and the bride looked stunning! What a lovely couple, glad that they allowed us to hear their story. This darn virus has mixed up plans in so many ways for so many people for such a long time now! Blessings!
There’s a lot of beauty in simplicity. And as long as you are there with the ones you love and care about, everything is perfect.
