We Won Garden Rose Design Contest 2020
Alexandra Farms is a famous boutique farmer that grows nostalgic, romantic, fresh-cut garden roses. The farm is located in the incredibly fertile savanna of Bogotá, high in the Andes Mountains of Colombia. Sunny days and chilly nights are ideal for growing roses, so they are the world’s largest grower of fresh-cut garden roses.
Alexandra Farms organizes the Garden Rose Design Contest. Participants are always from all around the world. The third contest has been held in the summer of 2020, and with the pandemic, it was the first year that voting was online by the general public instead of judges. There also was only one category: Beautiful designs with Garden Roses!
Accepted were bridal bouquets, vase arrangements, and large installation. They had over 100 entries, and the quality of entries was superb.
Why are we mentioning this? Two of the Wedding Meets Fashion team members collaborated in this contest. Nicole Braghin from Plan Desing Events in Miami created a gorgeous vase arrangement as well as a bridal bouquet. All photographer by our celebrity wedding photographer Jan Freire. And now imagine, they succeeded and won first place!

After this achievement, ladies from Plan Design Events established their new service Bloom Plan Desing, a company delivering gorgeous flower arrangements in Miami.

I would say that I like the vase arrangement better, but only because it’s more loosely arranged. I have always liked a bouquet with more hanging flowers rathers than all collected. Does that make sence?

I mean, it’s really hard to choose between the two of these. It’s like comparing absolutely gorgeous apples and oranges.
I love them both, but if I HAVE to choose one, I’d say the bouquet. I love the way it looks being held in front of the white wedding gown.

These are beautiful arrangements! I think the bouquet is my favorite because it has more pastel colors and less contrast. I love the different flowers that were chosen for this arrangement.

Congratulations on the first place win! I love both of the designs, but if I have to choose I’ll say the bridal bouquet – but I do appreciate the drama of the vase arrangement. Love the high/low mix of the French roses with the cowcockle in both!
