Summer is quickly approaching, and perhaps all your thoughts are around planning a perfect marriage proposal? Italy is one of the most requested destinations for a romantic proposal as it offers endless spots where to pop the question and make this day magical.
Here are my Top 5 locations that you may consider for that special day. Rome, Florence, Positano, Portofino, and Lake Como. Yes, you’re right! They all are not just the most popular cities in Italy but also frequented by many tourists. Check out these spots that make a big difference and consider your proposal in Italy.
ROME
I know many of you think that Trevi Fountain is the best spot in Rome to get down on one knee. But how many of you know that the Fountain is overcrowded by tourists at any time of the day? If your partner is a shy person, choose a place that’s more intimate and where she can feel more comfortable and you more relaxed. My suggestion is to book a private terrace overlooking Colosseum with a breathtaking view. Make sure to surprise her gradually. You will definitely satisfy her expectations as soon as she gets on the terrace.
FLORENCE
Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence is absolutely gorgeous because of the city’s panorama but not the most useful if you want to surprise your partner with something unique. My suggestion goes for Bardini Gardens. It has almost the same view as Piazzale Michelangelo, plus it can be booked privately just for you, which makes this place totally perfect for a dreamy proposal. The best period for the engagement is spring when the wisteria is in full bloom.
